Happy Fall! We trust everyone is settling in to a great start to the new school year. We have a lot of fun activities coming up that will raise money for our school and strengthen our community. Please check our calendar for more details.
The PTO recently launched our second annual Lead by Example giving campaign. Our campaign goal is $25,000, and the money will be invested in our school this semester. Our suggested contribution amount is $100, but all donation amounts will be greatly appreciated. (View the Lead by Example giving campaign).
Please join us in welcoming our new Vice President of Events, Jackie Burka, to the PTO executive board. Jackie was recently voted in at an executive committee meeting on September 3, 2015. Jackie was an active volunteer last year, and chaired The Mother Son event. A special thank you goes to our former Vice President of Events, Tanya Feehan, who is now the office manager of TPA. You are missed!
Our PTO bylaws were amended at a special meeting on September 7, 2015. They will be uploaded to the PTO tab of the school website soon.
As always, we welcome your involvement and encourage your participation. Please feel free to email us with any questions or concerns.

Meet Ms. Yates, a Kindergarten Teacher at TPA.
1 – What do you love about working at TPA?
I feel honored and blessed to be at TPA! I enjoy teaching Kindergarteners and I love hearing their perspectives, thoughts and ideas. Everyday is a new adventure! TPA has an amazing staff, an awesome principal and fabulous students!
2 – Please list your favorite movies, activities and foods!
I love Italian food, any type of dessert with caramel and Starbucks! My favorite movies are Adam Sandler comedies and Disney Earth movies. Some of my favorite activities are reading, biking with my family and going to my favorite place, Disneyworld!
3 – Do you have any tips or advice for Kindergarten students?
My best advice for Kindergarteners would be to listen attentively, do their homework and try their best everyday.
4 – When you were in Kindergarten, what did you want to be when you grew up?
When I was a Kindergartener, I wanted to grow up and be a teacher just like my Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Winfrey :)
Meet the ladies behind the scenes of TPA's Hot Lunch Program!
What do you love about TPA hot lunches?
There are more lunch options for the students and it gives parents a break from packing a lunch everyday.
How long does it take from when the food is delivered to completely distributed to all of the classes?
It takes two hours. We start at 10am and are done by 12:00.
What was your biggest challenge in setting up the hot lunch system?
The biggest challenge right now is having enough help on a daily basis and having consistent volunteers. It is important for everyone to understand that the lunch program is run by volunteers only this year.
Please tell us a little about what the 2 hot lunch vendors offer in terms of lunch choices?
Our vendors are Mama's Pizza Express and Honey Baked Ham. They offer anything from wraps and grilled chicken salads to pizza and pasta. There is a gluten free option every day which is great! The vendors use the freshest ingredients and everything is made in house daily. No frozen foods and no preservatives.
