Meet Ms. Negron, one of our wonderful 3rd Grade Teachers at TPA.
1 - What are some of the ways that you are helping your students prepare for the EOG’s? To prepare the children for the EOG's I have been teaching them reading comprehension and test-taking skills and strategies.
2 - Do you and your family have special Spring Break plans? My family and I are going on a cruise to the Caribbean and Mexico for Spring Break.
3 - What are some of your favorite hobbies and activities? In my spare time I love to do crafts. Right now I am obsessed with bedazzling clocks.
4 - Do you have advice for 3rd graders for the last few months of school? My advice for third graders for the last few months of school is to buckle down and focus.
We interviewed Audrey Neureuther about planning the Father Daughter Dance:
1. How did you decide on a theme for the father/daughter dance?
Last year, while our small committee was making decorations for the dance, we were looking ahead to this year and were thinking on new themes. Erika Gauthier suggested Wizard of Oz and we all loved the idea.
2. What was the most fun decoration that your committee got to make?
I would say my favorite decoration was the Emerald City Wall. Heather Smallwood, Edda Pacay and I spent all of the Wednesday of the dance making that wall decoration. It turned out awesome.
3. How far in advance do you usually plan parties/other events?
I would say it took me 3 months of planning on my end. I would pin ideas on my Pinterest boards, research prices and get quotes. I had to design invitations and make those to distribute at school. And then months of shopping and ordering and lining everything up. I would talk and meet with my small committee of Heather Smallwood, Edda Pacay, Erika Gauthier, Barrett Gentry, and Robin Bradley. And we would brainstorm some ideas and space plan. Erika and I met up on lot of Friday's brainstorming and picking out what decor we would buy. And closer to the end, we would all meet and make decor that we could early on. Rhonda Little and I talked tons about budget and all the ticket money coming in. And she helped keep all that organized. Thank you all ladies!!
4. What are some cost-saving tips for making a great theme-based party on a budget?
I would say shop around. I did most my shopping at wholesale vendors online which was much cheaper. And we bought supplies to make our decor rather than buying pre-made decorations. This saved a lot of money.
A huge congratulations and thank you to Audrey Neureuther, and the Father Daughter Dance Committee for another successful and beautiful event! The daughters and dads had a blast and the setting was incredible!
