Peter Mojica is a high-tech entrepreneur. He has held several information technology executive positions in the Wall St. financial services community over the last 20 years. He’s led a successful turnaround of a publicly traded software company, led mergers and acquisitions, and has successfully raised investment funds for his various start-ups from top tier venture capital firms. He has founded and co-founded various companies in the enterprise software and med-tech sector’s with successful exits. He holds key patents for various technologies. He is currently a CEO of a start-up software company, advisor to several companies in the enterprise software and med-tech sectors, and co-director for the Charlotte Founder Institute an entrepreneur training & startup launch program.

Susanna Parker is an attorney with over 14 years of labor law experience, specializing in airline and railroad disputes. Susanna and her husband Rob have three children; Stevie, a first grader at Thunderbird Prep; Caroline, 4; and Bobby, 1. Before moving to Cornelius, NC, Susanna practiced with the National Mediation Board (NMB) in Washington, DC, where she served as Special Counsel for multiple Presidential Emergency Boards, holding hearings for President Bush and President Obama. While at the NMB, Susanna advised the presidentially appointed Board Members on labor and employment matters, served as the Freedom of Information Act liaison, and was a Contributing Editor for The Railway Labor Act, the definitive treatise for RLA practitioners.
Susanna is very active in the community and served as President of the Fenwick Park Neighborhood Association. During her tenure she successfully wrote grants for Fenwick Park and the neighborhood was awarded multiple Neighborhood Enhancement Partnership Program grants from Fairfax County. Susanna also founded the Neighborhood Watch Program and started the National Night Out celebration in Fenwick Park which is now an annual event.
Susanna previously served on the Advisory Board for Building Blocks Day School in Falls Church, Virginia as well as the Advisory Board for The Little Blue House in Washington, DC. Susanna also volunteered her time with The Little Blue House as a big sister for a teenager in need.
Susanna helped to found the Thunderbird Prep PTO. When she isn’t busy helping out at TPA, Susanna enjoys spending time with her family.

Mrs. Borrell is an innovative, results oriented Organizational Development Psychologist with over 25 years of experience as a Learning and Organizational Development Executive. Her claim of fame and great passion was developing and implementing the US Department of Labor Learning & Leadership Development Department nationwide. Mrs. Borrell has developed thousands of leaders in her career journey. She has been recognized nationally for the success of her Succession Leadership planning and Strength based learning programs.
Mrs. Borrell also has extensive experience in Higher Education having been Faculty and Staff at the University of MD, University of TX, Barstow College CA, CPCC NC and Davidson College, NC. Nancy has also provided academic and pre-college counseling services to Upward Bound Students which resulted in a 99% high school graduation and college placement rates. Her passion for education led her to the creation of the Workforce Development Education Committee. Though the Education Committee she convened School Superintendents, College/University Presidents, Economic Development Directors and education best practice organizations to find ways to improve our educational system. Mrs. Borrell was a founding Board Chair incorporating the Thunderbird Prep Academy.
Mrs. Borrell has been the recipient of national awards and recognized as a transformational leader. She has a unique blend of experience working with leaders in government, education and private industry. Mrs. Borrell has served on education, health care and cultural boards. She completed Harvard JFK Executive Leadership Program and Washington Executive Seminars. Mrs. Borrell has presented Learning, Education & OD Best practices at international, national, regional and local conferences. She is very enterprising having been the CEO and investor of a franchise operation.Mrs. Borrell currently serves as TPA’s Academic Committee Chair and Board Secretary.She developed and implemented TPA’s Governance Learning Program.

Melissa Wise holds a BA in Accounting from Gardner Webb University and has worked for 5 years as a Staff Accountant for a local CPA firm in Huntersville NC.She also is a dance teacher for a dance studio in Cornelius NC.
Melissa will lead the Business Committee and administer many of the business functions related to finances, human resources, and general policies.

Dan Ward joined the Virginia Tech Foundation in April 2008 where he serves as its Director of Investments.He leads all aspects of managing the Foundation’s portfolio including manager and investment selection and setting asset allocation policy.Almost 50% of the portfolio is invested internationally including a mix of niche and direct investments.The Virginia Tech endowment performance ranks in the top 10% of its peers for the 3 & 5yrs ending June 2014 and was honored by Institutional Investor as the top mid-sized endowment of 2011.The Foundation currently oversees approximately $1.4Billion in operating funds and long-term endowment funds which support Virginia Tech University.
Prior to joining Virginia Tech he was the director of research for Integritas Advisors, a family office, from July 2004 – April 2008.Mr. Ward holds a BBA from The University of Michigan Business School, a MBA from The University of Florida Warrington College of Business and is a CFA charter holder.

Heather White is a member of Smith Moore Leatherwood's litigation and labor and employment practice groups. She focuses her practice primarily on complex commercial disputes, business litigation, financial services litigation, and employment litigation.Heather has experience with a wide array of employment matters, including wrongful discharge, discrimination, non-compete and trade secret litigation, and wage and hour disputes.Heather also provides employment counseling outside of the litigation context. Heather has significant experience defending consumer financial services claims, including collateral attacks on foreclosures, unfair debt collection practices allegations and TCPA claims. She also handles complex business disputes on a regular basis.
Heather litigates in state and federal courts throughout North Carolina and elsewhere, including the North Carolina Business Court. She also has experience on e-discovery issues.
Heather is active in the North Carolina Bar Association and with the Woman Advocate Committee of the Litigation Section of the American Bar Association.
